In the Fall of1945 I took my girl friend Ginny on a one day cross country trip from Toledo to Saginaw and back, following railroad tracks. Once at altitude out of Toledo I asked her to watch the map and keep the tracks in signt and (by the way) "Will you marry me?" On final approach back into Toledo Franklin Airport (now Franklin Mall) she said, "Yes!" We have been married 52 years. I think it was the Ercoupe that convinced her.
