I agree with the others, the float can soak up fuel, and I also painted
mine with epoxy varnish to seal it up. But, I think you have another
issue here.
You said you put in 2.2 gallons of fuel. If you still had fuel in
the
wing tanks you should not have been able to put more than a pint in the
nose tank. Keep an eye on it. You may have a partially blocked fuel
line from the wing tanks to the pump or from the pump to the nose tank,
or your fuel pump may be failing.Syd Cohen NC94196
