The reminds me about an suggestion regarding products of the old British Leyland group (i.e., MG, Jaguar, and later Triumph): 'The way to induce a British Leyland product not to leak oil is as follows: Drain all of the oil from the sump. Start the motor and drive round the block several times. Once the engine has experienced what life without oil feels like, it will endeavor to hold it in more effectively in future.' I would assume that the consumption figure includes the normal, incessant, eternal, diabolical seepage from the breather. Greg
