Jerry---
I feel I have to clear up a few things with you about the Ercoupe
table
at Oshkosh.
        1. NO ONE is allowed to sell anything in the Type Club Tent.
That's
what the Fly-Market is for. A few years ago we were selling left-over
T-shirts and sweat shirts from the Kalispell Nationals and later
received a letter from Joe Dickey, the Type Club Tent Chairman, telling
us to cease this activity. They are very strict about that. We can
display and explain, but we cannot sell. If the other clubs were doing
that, they will also get a letter.
        2. A lot of us volunteered our time to sit at the table and greet
people and explain Ercoupes to them. We have done this for years. Have
you ever helped? The Wisconsin Wing is volunteered to organize the Type
Club Tent table, organize the Saturday night dinner, collect door prizes
for the dinner, and also puts on a Fall Colorama Fly-in each year. This
is a lot of work. Thanks for helping.
        3. The Ercoupe Club has recieved an award for being one of the
most
popular tables in the Type Club Tent over the years. We usually have a
crowd around our table while many of the tables have no one. This is
the reason we were moved down to the middle of the tent. When we were
near the door, across from the Aeronca Club table, (another very popular
table) no one could get by us. How many times did you stop by?
Anyone can criticize. I know we are far from perfect, but a
little
help would be appreciated. We can all improve if we take part. Stop by
next year, volunteer your time, and suggest improvements while you are
there.
