Hi Jeff, My coupe was sold to me witht the carb heat out of wack! When you pulled it on, it STAYED on even after pushing it off. The problem was with the cable and its attachment to the flapper.
Open the cowl and excercise the carb heat and visualy verify that the flapper in the heat box is actually opening and closing the FULL amount.
