On this Vapor Lock thing. Old tractors were very bad for this on a hot day and a heavy pull. One correction we used, back on the farm, but NOT recommended for aircraft, was to place a clothes pin on the fuel line. Never knew why this worked, but it did. Talked to a engineer once, he said the clothes pin could work as a small radiator.
This is mind, Ron's statement about insulating the gas line may be the
way to go.
