Jim,
Yep that's 41 Charlie alright, She is an Execta. When originally built she was a standard 2 control Coupe. She was later modified at the factory with rudder pedals. According to one source she was the first with the factory pedal option. I have not however been able to find any documentation of that being a fact. Since she was used on the brochure and as a factory demonstrator I suspect it may be true.

The performance specs are still pretty much in line. The only one I question is the STALL SPEED of 56 mph. I usually indicate roughly 50 mph at the break but that may just be because a normal airspeed indicator reads off from a calibrated one used for certification. As for service ceiling the highest I've been in it is 12,500 but in "The Ercoupe a Touch of Class" on page 338 there is a copy of the Coupe Scoop the news letter published by Forney for Coupe owners there is a reference to 41 Charlie going to 17,800 feet on a very hairy flight. If you have a copy of this book, read it, it was a wild flight!

Now as for range, it may do 500 miles, but my bladder never has. :-)
