Jeff,
Having spilled more than a few gallons of fuel (mogas)trunk of my car I know what you mean.I have found that just airing it out has always worked for me. Just leave the carpet and floorboard out a gay or so. You could always try flushing with water and a detergent then leave out in the sun to dry before reinstalling but a good airing out will probably do the trick.
