Just got a call from an Ercoupe near Houston, TX, who
is looking to sell a Forney F1 "project". Many mods
were done and it's now ready for final paint, but the
wings, rudders and vert.stabs are off. (For the
novices, it's no big deal.) It has the F1A panel, Alon
toe brakes, M-10 adjustable bucket seats, F1A interior
trim, M-10 baggage compartment (under the hat rack),
factory rudder kit, Wing AD done with Steen flush
plates, Terra Com & Xponder w/encoder and a II-Morrow
Loran. He has all the logs and the a/c has about 1500
hrs on it, engine about 150 on a top. Its the 90 hp,
but without the vacuum pump. Leon says he's got about
20K into it since '84 (that's real easy), but will take
10K, no less. Sounds like he's just tired of workin'
on it (I can relate to that!). You can call him at
713-4723-0362 or 713-472-4825 (Leon Buenger).

I really don't know any more so please don't email me
with questions, I won't be able to answer them. I will
tell you that after speaking with him for about an hour
on the phone, my feeling is that if I had the spare
10K, I would definitely be interested in this
aircraft. (I'm about 10K over budget on my Bonanza
project!) It's finished value should be around 20K+.
Al
