Coupers: Another bunch of those endless questions, I have a habit of putting to you guys. But like they say want to get the right answer go to the source.
Trying to build a few hours on the coupe since
annual. Was a great day for flying here in the
valley. Good days give me time to experiment. To
bad for you guys, that also brings up questions.
When trimming out my coupe, I can't trim to a climb,
with trim full - just level flight. Is this in the design?
I never get over 85 M.P.H. indicated. I've got a 85hp.
I see speeds referenced for 90 - 100. Now I am
conservative on the power settings, due to lack of
knowledge of the plane mostly. What R.P.M. should
I use to get the best speed? What for the best
economical range?
While crusing I made several turns. None
were very sharp. But I noticed that after the
turns, and sometime during level flight the
fuel gauge on the nose would go from full to
"way full". Though it might over flow at one
time. Is this due to my truns keeping gas from
flowing back into the tank? Or could my fuel
pump increase its flow? The tank never went
below full, just overfull.
Turblence is not one of my favorite things.
Any tips on buffering out some of this?
I've been working with the rudder pedals
some and this seems to help, but I'm still
new at this flying stuff and thankfull for the
help.
