Coupers:

Was out doing some nite landings this evening. Need some advice,
"Thristy for Knowledge".

No wind, judging by sock. However, noticed on take off that
right wing lifted off first. After this had to crab right to
stay on center line.

During landings, still no wind, I would drift to the left, amost
in grass once. This was even after a good crab to right. Just
like you folks have said to do. (Note I have rudder pedals).
Then noticed something I think Dave or Pete may
have posted, the right wing, on touch down, stayed
in the air. It would then come around and continue to fly for a
short period. This had not happened before, and I would
have tried to correct if I had not seen a posting on this.
I just let it land.

Thing is, why with not apparent wind, was I landing so
badly. I normally land on the numbers and stop within
500 feet. I was landing long, floating a long
distance, and stopping in about 2,500 feet.

There was wind at about 500 - 1000 agl.

Could the sock be so far down field (3000+ feet for end)
that there was a good xwind while in ground effect. Did
appear to be any xwind while on short final.

Okay, educate me, again.
