I am considering recovering my wings as I do the "Hole thing" - and wonder if anyone has any ideas about how to achieve the sculpture on the underside of the leading edge of the Ercoupe airfoil ? Last time I did this was in 1982, and used Stitts polyfiber - plan to do the same thing this time. I was not happy about the way the fabric attached to the underside and did not completely folllow the reverse conture of the underside leading edge. Will polytac adhear sufficiently to achieve this proper conture ? I think so, but would appreciate any comments.. and experiences. I don't think it affected the flying qualities, but I never was really happy with it.
