Dave's right! World Wide Web supports both .gif and .jpg. Use .gif for
line
art, etc., and .jpg for photographs. Scan photos at 72dpi, or as Dave says
100dpi max. The Web only supports 72dpi and 256 colors (and 16 of them are
a little off), but 100dpi just seems to look better on the web than
72dpi...don't ask why, it just does!  And if you are using a digital
camera...the lowest picture quality available on it is OK.
