Hello AV8R's:

I am putting together the final plans for my first trip
to Sun-N-Fun.

Will be traveling down in 99069, if weather good, on
Friday 17. Be my first really long xcountry.
Hoping to get there by 1:00 p.m. LAL time.

Have read the stuff in southern av8r. Basicly
do as told and every thing will be ok. One
problem, said to rock wings with "gusto" to
acknowledge, my wings are normally rocking
with "gusto", that's the way if fly :-).
Wish they had told me how to stop that.

Couple of questions for some of the vetrians.

Were is the best spot to say and see the shows? Will
stay with my plane, sleep under wing, all that stuff
that I've heard so many "real men" say they enjoy :-).
One guy from the local airport is taking his motor
home down, he's also planning on roughing it, say's
he may turn the air off, tough guy.

Will I be able to ask for a general area to camp?
Would like to find some other folks I know, will
I be able to request a area close to them?
Or is it park were told and don't cause any problems :-) .

Is there a place that most coupes go?

I expect to be able to get food and water there,
o no, said water, forgive me :-)
any use to pack 80lbs food and drink in a 60lbs
cargo area?

As stated, will be leaving here Friday Morning.
Would like to see if anyone else is planning to
take my route, maybe link up. General route
will be East of ATL, Athens, GA then
South to Tifton for fuel and on into
LAL. Will stop for fuel again in FLA, Leesburg?
Would like to have almost full tanks whe get
to Sun-N-Fun. Hear you can stay in a hold pattern of
some time.

Going to try and develop some more boy
scout skills, use basic nav. (with Lorian
only as aback-up, Lorian is this cute girl
that's going with me). Any suggestions of
nav. points, I-75 looks like best landmark, but
that is going to be everybodies landmark,
may be bussy over it.

Any other tips for a first time person? Starting
to look forward to this after being in hanger
for most of the winter. Might make a real
pilot out of me.
