This is my first attempt at using the list and I'm not certain I'm doing
it
correctly. Guess I'll find out. I assume that by addressing
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" my message goes to all members on the list?

I use a wheelchair and got a private license in 1966 (I was in wheelchair
then too and fly an Ercoupe [95 hrs]), but I've not been active flying
since. I'm 64 years old and retired from the federal government in
Washington, DC, in July 1995 and moved to Orlando. I recently took a
third
class medical to see if I still qualify medically. I have a "statement of
demonstrated ability" (SODA) which I think is permanent. Assuming I get
past the medical, I'll be interested in maybe buying an Ercoupe, thou I'm
not ruling out any other aircraft.

Though I never met and haven't been able to contact him, Howard Treadwell,
who also used a wheelchair, in St. Petersburg, FL, in the late 1960s flew
an Ercoupe and had a door put in the side and the luggage compartment
enlarged. The local FAA is checking this for me.

Does anyone know anything about this?
