Hello Again: Here is another of Jack's endless questions:
I went up today for about a half hour. During this time my coupes temp got up to a little over 200. Is this normal? What temp should I start getting concerned with? My gauge goes to 220 and red lines there. Also as temp goes up oil pressure goes down. I flew Sunday, and it never got over 160. Only change was weather. Today it's about 60 with a Den. Alt. of 2900, 6A3 is at 1700. Sunday it was about 45 and low Den. Alt. I also had the windows open about three inches today. Would that make this much of a difference? Sorry for all the questions, however, I've been a little nerrrvvvos since my coupe decided it didn't want to run one day, while I was about 15 miles out. I'm just now starting to get it out of the pattern again. Once again, thanks to everyone, I've read every book I can on the Ercoupe, mostly manuals from Univar. I've got more from this group than I could ever get from the manuals. Jack 99069
