<< << Jim indicated his 1967 Alon had non-sliding stock bucket seats. I
just
spoke with an owner of a '66 Alon with a 200+serial number, but I forgot
to
ask him about sliding seats. But "The Ercoupe--A Touch of Class"
indicates
on page 390, repeating an article from "Plane & Pilot", that the 1966
coupe
A2-A, the 2+2 version (2 adult and 2 children) had bucket seats that
were
adjustable while in flight and had a 6 inch travel, rather than 4
inches.
But I've not seen or heard anyone with a slider frame. I don't really
need
a sliding seat, but it could be a usefull change for some.

 Ken I have owned a 1961 Forney serial # 5745 1965 Alon and 1966 Alon
serial # A-124 and now my 1967 Alon A2 serial # A242 and all of them
have the same type of bucket seats. The change might have been with
the A2-A and I don't know just when that serial # started.

Another interesting picture I noticed in one of my old Aircoupe books
ERCOUPE BY LOUIS N. BUFFARDI CALLED THE TWIN TAIL TIGER.
was a picture of a Triple Tail Tiger. Grady Thresher joined two stock
Ercoupes
to create this twin engine version. He flew it over 1,250 hours in air
shows
and demonstations. Also a picture of the retractable landing gear that
erco
 developed.
