My Coupe is tied down outside and I do use a well fitting canopy cover.
The
cover extends down below the "glass" all around and below the side rails,
as well as covering the front gas cap and gage. The cover does not flap
even in very strong winds, if you keep it tight. I use bungy cords under
the belly to hold it down. I do however get some water inside the belly,
under the seat, at the lowest spot on the belly. I don't know how it gets
inside, could be condensation. I unzipped the bottom of the baggage
compartment and drilled three 3/16" holes where the water lies and now it
drains out before it can puddle.
