Hi Alan; I do not believe the 415-C had a central vacuum filter. If someone added one, it would be under the Instrument panel. If one has not been added, each gyro in the system has a screen to keep out the larger particles. The screen may be in the open, or have a cover over it that can be removed for cleaning. The screen is mounted right on the gyro (I am assuming you have the large AN style gyro). I have seen those screens completely covered with a 1/8 inch or more of lint, and the gyro was still working. It takes a minute or two, with the RPM above 1500, in order for the venturi to get the gyros up to speed. If cleaning the pitot/static tube does not get your airspeed close to the correct reading, check the joints on the pitot and static lines. There are two rubber tubes connecting them at the wing root by the rear spar bolts. If the pitot connection is leaking, it could be at this joint. Good Luck.
