in the book, "Fly-About Adventures and the Ercoupe", on page 66, is a couple of pictures and a short article on the "DilleyJack" made by Bill Dilley of Sedan KS. basically, it is a bumper jack , on the hook potion that attaches to the vehicle is a short length of tubing welded in place. the ID of this tubing accommodates a 5/8" pin with large washer welded on one end and the other drilled for a cotter pin. the hole end of the pin goes through the knuckle joint then through the tube on the jack then cotter pinned to lock onto jack. looks like the vertical notched portion of the jack was shortened to keep from damaging the wing bottom... looks simple enough to put together. regards JoeC N99621 Greg Bullough wrote: > ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- > > I went out to Topica to try and search the 'archives' to review > the process of putting a bar through the knee joint and > jacking up the main gear. > > Lo and behold, I couldn't find any way to search through > all the old messages on Topica.
