Hello to ya 'all,
I think I came up with an idea that some of you might like!!The only thing
is it's hard to explain but I'll try--You all know that angle aluminum
that is at the bottom edge of our sliding windows- on the fuse-it runs
past the slidder opening aft too- all one piece. When you botton up your
windows after flying there is a gap between the fuse(this angle aluminum)
and the slidder window. Got it so far??I use a canopy cover cuz I'm
outside but I was in a Home depot and bought this self stick door bottom
seal for a door in a house- it's really soft and pliable even in the cold
it comes in several colors
white , brown ,etc, my plane is white so i bought white
it self sticks to that ledge(aluminum angle)just close to the plexi or
just touching as it is pliable it seals the drafts or helps keep out rain
what ever. I don't think a field approval is even necessary> You can cut
it with a scissors or pocket knife.
It doesn't alter the airframe it's inexpensive. And it gives you another
thing to do on a bad flying day.Ithink there are other uses for this too .
Tell me what you think>
