produced on January 17, 1946. On our field there is a 1958 Forney that is
also grounded because of interganular corrosion of the spar caps in both
wings. The story I've heard is that ERCO had many thousands of spar cap
extrusions made before WWII that were stored, not returned for use in the War
effort, and put into production aircraft after WWII.
