Just wanted to thank all the people who have responded to my question regarding the 415-c vs 415-d models. Especially regarding the conversion stainless steel cowling. As it turns out, I've got money down on a 415-c with a 85hp. I talked with another local couper who had made all the modifications (85 hp, SS cowl, 9 degree, etc) but when he took it to the FAA FSBO, the guy said, "yep, you got everything here to be a 415-D, go ahead and fly it as such, if anyone asks, just show them your paperwork, - but, I don't want to sign off on it." I seem to recall another post about someone not signing off on an STC -- Is this a common FAA response? And how do they think we can keep up with their lagalities, if they do not want to honor approved STC's 337's, etc.? Again thanks for all the advice, technical and otherwise Rick Green __________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ==^================================================================ EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?aVxiLm.aVzvvT Or send an email To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This email was sent to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Learn More.
