----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hey Group; need some help here. I'm replacing the windshield moldings and installing the rear window moldings to replace the nut & screw rear window fastenings. First of all, in removing the rear windows, I find them to be preformed approx 1/8" thick, purchased from Skyport the replacement windows (small) and find them to be approx 1/16" thickness. Which is correct??( Already did the enlarged cut out as directed) Removed the front flat windshield in preparation for painting and replace the upper and lower moldings. Was no upper molding, just caulked with a silicon bead. Purchased new moldings from Skyport. Upper "U" shaped molding same size opening (approx 1/8") same as windshield. Lower "Y" shaped molding has opening approx 3/32". When slipped over windshield the opening is forced into a "V" shaped opening and just can't be right. Lee at Skyport claims this is the correct molding but it doesn't fit right. What am I doing wrong?? Is there some special installation procedure that allows this molding to seal properly?? Please, anyone been there-done that, I'd sure appreciate some insight. thanks JoeC Cold and wet Zion, IL N99621 ==^================================================================
