A hero is someone who serves in time of need and is willing to sacrifice and risk their life doing so. That seems like pretty basic hero stuff to me. And someone who runs from adversity sounds pretty cowardly to me. There were plenty of heroes on Sept 11th. They ran INTO the WTC. Thy died as they lived. Brave american heroes. There were also many cowards that day. We don't celebrate them. But there were those who passed the elderly, infirm, and trapped to save themselves. they thought only of themselves that day. How anyone could live with that knowledge is beyond me. I don't know sam's qualifications, but he does have old-fashioned common sense. Right now, we need heroes.
