I checked with the briefer myself, Paul, before mosying over to Evergreen.
Heard about that restriction around the old Trojan plant. Why would they
put my father's birth place and home town in a no-fly zone, I wonder. No
need for exact co-ords, as you can see the cooling tower from St. Helens.
Any how, I can't fly over the family fish camp, which is in Kalama.
But I did get up into the patch at Evergreen. They had penny-a-pound
(except for the ladies, which just paid a flat buck) airplane rides!
Heck,
it probably cost me more than that for the four trips `round the patch.

And, yeah Greg, the gov'ment's a bit ditsy now-a-days. Trojan was
voted out of operation by the people of Oregon long ago. The reactor
went up the Columbia on the other side of the Island from my place.
Nothing but spent (unspent too?) fuel rods that they can't find a home
for.
