Hello, fellow Coupers (from a new guy). I've been following this wing AD closely and looked up on the NTSB site any accidents from 1983 until now using the query of "corrosion" and "Ercoupe" (and "Forney"). I found only three pertinent hits. Two had to do with propellers coming off (on 1/4/96 and 12/29/98, both non-fatal). The other is the unfortunate accident in Kingman, AZ on 3/20/99 (which seems to be the only pertinent item in the NTSB database). I went back and double checked all fatal accidents from 1983 (the start of the NTSB database) until now, and found nothing pertaining to corrosion of the wing spars. If anything, they may want to think about limiting it to only 415's, as the Kingman accident and the aircraft involved at the school were 415's (of course I'm biased, I have a Forney). Food for thought.
