I'm curious! I've never been to a Coupe fly-in, what're they like? Do
you all walk
around with a frown on your faces, asking for the latest hot news on 337's
or STC's?
If you hear someone in the background laugh, or crack a joke, do you walk
over and
inform the offender that this fly-in is for the technical betterment of
flying safe?
If you hear a second joke coming from a different source, do you say
"That's it," and
gather the few techno purists off to a different part of the airport? Or
rather, do
you get to know one another? Do you tell interesting antidotes about
flying, or
fishing, or just plain puttering around. Do you also talk about some of
the problems
you're having with your Coupe? Do you have fun? Do you get to know
someone you've
been chatting with for the past year(s), and solidify the friendship
that's already
formed? I've only been around for a few months. I don't know how
entertaining the
list was prior to my entry, but from some of the friendships that I've
already formed,
I believe that the rebels have always been around.
Yes, I've appreciated the true wisdom that's been given in this forum.
I
recognize there are intelligent well informed flyers that contribute much.
Thanks for
the help and advice. But, what about the other side of it. What about
those of you
who have friends out there in Lala land. What if you read about Joe
Schmoe, who went
fishing, and caught a hell of a hang over. Or Moe and Curly want to get
to gather for
a cup of Joe? These are friends using a common thread to communicate.
Are you going
to ban this type of communication? Do you really think that if you start
another
list, it will not evolve into something other than what you ( founding
editor ) wanted
it to be? And when, not if, it does, do you then become editor in chief,
and have the
ultimate "DELETE" power? How sad that you can't take the good with the
bad, glean
from the good, and use your free will the delete the rest. Why get upset
when it's so
easy to rid yourself of the rubbish.? The world is a lovely place. Don't
get upset
with the little ups and downs, cause they won't go away. Instead, delete,
delete,
delete.
