Want zulu?

If you know how to get it already, you'll want to skip the rest of this.

Simply add the following number of hours to your local time zone to get
zulu:

Atlantic +4 hrs
Eastern +5 hrs
Central +6 hrs
Mountain +7 hrs
Pacific +8 hrs

For calculating zulu in all other time zones worldwide, feel free to
download the chart from my Web site at

http://www.realtime.net/~magbo/wrldtim.gif

In the summer in North America, subtract an hour if your area observes
daylight savings time (i.e., Central becomes +5). Daylight savings time is
not observed in parts of Indiana or in Arizona, so keep that in mind and
yeah, it does get a little confusing but if you live there you already
know
that. Sorry international members, haven't got the foggiest about daylight
or non-daylight time conventions outside North America.

If for some reason you don't like to download stuff from Web sites, write
me back and I will send the chart to you as an e-mail attachment. It's not
big (20K .gif, so it shouldn't clog your in box) and is very handy.

Just in case it is not readily apparent that big honker of a red line in
the middle of the chart labeled Greenwich Meridian is zulu herself. <grin>

regards,
Steve
