Dear Bob, I know that I am not alone when I say how sorry I am about your harrowing ordeal. I am, however, grateful and relieved that you are OK.
Now that you have had a few hours to think aboout it, do you care to speculate on what was going on with your engine? That situation with the NTSB guys is sticky. I don't understand how you could have done things any other way with the cops & fire dept. insisting that you move the plane. What were you supposed to do? Firemen and cops tend to get quite irritable when you say no to them. I do understand why your wife is upset. However, I think the fact that you were injured in such a minor way says a lot about your ability as a pilot and the integrity of the coupe. Gee, I got hurt much worse just sitting on the back of a motorcycle in a parking lot! ( Broken femur, 2 surgeries, physical therapy..)
