Glen,

There are 2 ways to fix your nose gear problem.

The expensive way:
order the service kit from univair and completely replace the nose
gear,
fork,
bearing, wheel, tire as 1 unit. They sell it as a whole unit for
around
900 bucks.
It would install in about 2 hours.

The cheaper way: (what I would do)
replace only the bad parts with used ones from Skyport. They have
a
bunch of
SERVICEABLE used parts and N.O.S. (new old stock) that they sell
for 1/2
price
of new items. The nose strut never has pressure in it. It is an
oil-only
strut, and
a spring handles the taxi loads. I rebuilt my nose strut by
replacing
the 2 seals
and the seals only cost me about 9 dollars total! Of course I am
an A &
P and IA
but if you were in my area we could do it together cheaply. The
nose
wheel
bearing is 35 bucks, a fork and rim I estimate would be about 200
or so
used.
Again, the parts are not used/worn out, they are used/serviceable.

Let me know what you do
