Hi Ken
 If the left wing is trying to raise on you then you will have to reverse
the trim you used. You said you bent the pilots side trim tab up. This
pushes the rear
edge of the aileron down the same as adding right pressure on the wheel. A
good rule of thumb on tabs that are attached to the ailerons is to bend
the
tab
the same way you want the wing to go. If you want the left wing down, bend
the left tab down. This causes the left aileron to raise and pull down on
the left wing.
 Same for the right wing, If you want it to come up, bend the tab up.
