Hi all, I have recently purchased an Alon and it is working out great
but I have a question on the level flight characteristics. I am pretty
new to flying (100 hours in Cherokee mostly) so please keep this in mind
too.
I have noticed that I must keep pretty good pressure on the wheel to
keep the pilots wing down, even when I'm flying solo. (My logic tells me
it should be the passenger wing.) There are trim tabs on the ailerons
and I bent the pilots side up and the passenger side down slightly but
it doesn't seem to make much difference.
If I don't keep the down pressure, I think I would roll over. And I have
watched my rudders and do not believe they are contributing.
There is also a trim tab on the pilot's side of the horizontal
stabilizer which is bent down some. Am I on the right track or is there
some other explanation or things to look for? THANKS!!!
