Ok gang, the Porterville Ercoupe Fly-in is happening this weekend April 15-16. Here's the lowdown. Jim Mcdonald, the airport manager, is eager to have as many ercoupes (alons and mooneys) as possible show up. There is a nice campground with showers. There are also motels in town which will pick you up. He has 50 tie downs at $2 per night. The restaurant is open from 8-3pm. and the cocktail lounge opens at 5pm and serves sandwiches. The Golden State Coupers will have a FREE hot dog lunch at 12 noon sat at the picnic area. At this time the weather folks are calling for a great weekend in the San Joaquin Valley with a possibility of a minor shower event ( may not even happen). If you haven't ever attended a Golden State flyin you are missing
