It would be interesting to know if these case's have been with auto gas or 100LL. I have owned 3 different Alon's and have flown them 400+ hours and have never had this happen. Breaking down my hours all but approx. 5 hours have been with 100LL. The 5 hours that I have flown with Auto Gas has been on my present Alon. All of the Alon's I owned had the Auto gas STC but have just started to use auto gas.
