Georgia, I contribute your dissappointment to the fact that you are truely becoming a pilot. We had similar problems in the midwest this weekend. I got to drive three hours to visit grandkids instead of fly--well worth the drive, but they like the plane. A friend in Ark had planned a day-light trip to OK, but the FORECAST was too bad so he slept-in. The actual weather was not so bad, but by that time it was too late. The typical solution is to complain about bad weather when we could be flying, and to balance that with complaints about the lack of rain when we are too busy to fly and the weather is good :-) Enjoy the trees.
