Well folks I had my first Sun N Fun experience.

I got there on Tuesday. Entered the Cherokee, or
Cherocoupe, in the Sun 60 for Wed. Took second
place in the race, 141 mph average from a standing
start to a fly by finish. So that was pretty good.
Had the fastest Cherokee, some guy in a German plane
took first for my class.

As far as Sun N Fun: Typical FL. Hot, Dry, Expensive.
Cost us almost $400 for our plane, a camping site
and arm bands. Then found that my arm band, $60
worth, would not get me into the flight line. That
was additional.

Seen one coupe in the camping area. Tried to locate
the owner, but never did. Seen one, across the fence,
in the flight line area. Never did find the Type Tent.

Was hoping to meet some of y'all there, but never did.
Did meet a lot of nice people from all over. Airplane
folks are a helpful bunch.

Overall I would say it was a Okay function. Could have
been better, but I'm on the outside looking in. I don't
know what the people that stage this went through.

Looking forward to getting back to coupe work. Still
got the kiwi to fix. Want to have it up and going
before the Smoky Mountain Coupe Meeting.

Jack
