Just a thought for those who want music in their coupes and are struggling with interfaces which do not work. If your intercom has provision for a third passenger then feed the walkman into the mic for the third person. The mic impedance is closer to the output of a walkman and you will gain some amplification through the intercom. The problems are to ensure that the third mic is not connected to the transmitter because ATC will almost certainly not care for your choice of music.
For those who do not have an intercom, I recommend the kit sold by RST (www.rst-engr.com). Their $90 kit does have a music input which works and in addition, quiets when someone or ATC talks. It also has a tape recorder output for those who like to hear the dumb things they say over the radio. They advertise that you never see their used intercoms for sale and mine is not for sale.
