I guess what we have here is the classic "Catch 22". I think we're up against the wall, and must make the choice between two evils. There's no question in my mind that if auto gas were corrosive in airplane engines, it would be corrosive in auto engines too. Also, I think it's bunk for him to say that it will deteriorate O-rings and gaskets. This is only true if it is oxygenated. ( contains alcohol ) I agree that I wish 80 octane LL were available, and I suspect it could soon be. Also, we've had the discussion regarding vapor locking on Coupes, and generally agree that they don't do that. I think I'll just flip a coin, cause there just ain't no correct choice.
