My instructor, who I think is one of the best pilots I know, has about
15,000 hours
flight time.  At the time he taught me how to fly, he had 10,000 hrs.  In
the time
it took him to get those hours, he'd plowed up about four fields with
various
planes.  The interesting thing about it, they were all related to pilot
error.  I
think the first day you start thinking of your self as a competent pilot
will be the
most dangerous day of your life.
