Hi Andy, I have Ercoupe N87112, Travolta's first airplane. He sent me a bunch of private pictures of himself with the plane. He bought the plane by saving money he earned from "Welcome Back Kotter". While the 'Coupe was his prize possession then, he also had a 1955 T-Bird he loved. The picture you mentioned is of him imitating riding a bull. I have another of him in the same sort of pose, same clothes, except he's laying back against the windshield holding his private pilot license (newly acquired) high in the air. Speaking of celebrities......this afternoon Patrick Swazey emergency landed his twin Cessna in a housing development a mile from my house. He clipped light posts and a stop sign with the wings and took the tips off but was unhurt. In fact, he climbed out and walked to the side of the road to stop a vehicle for a ride to a telephone. His explanation to the FAA and local cops was, "I had a pressurization problem", Right, you bet. He landed 10 miles away from the airport.......think maybe he had a fuel problem??
