Good evening or good morning: All northern California, western Nevada and southern Oregon people should send an e-mail in protest of closure. Include your home town. Thanks: Maynard, N99843, Tahoe City, CA. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Airport Closure Alert!
The U.S. Forest Service plans to close Gravelly Airport (1Q5) on July 8, 2000, unless airport supporters can convince them it should remain open! The airstrip is a 4000-foot low-maintenance gravel strip near Lake Pillsbury. Gravelly may be small and isolated, but the legalities used to close one airport can often be used to close other larger airports. Too many on California's once impressive list have fallen because of exactly this reason. We need e-mails, faxes and telephone calls from throughout California (and from any other concerned pilots) urging the Forest Service to keep the airstrip open. Blaine P. Baker, District Ranger, is the person to contact. Phone: (707) 275-2361 FAX (707) 275-0676 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mailing address: Mr. Blaine P. Baker, District Ranger U.S. Forest Service, 10025 Elk Mountain Road, Upper Lake, CA 95485-9500 Call, fax, write, call or e-mail TODAY to prevent yet another California airport from closing. Here's your chance to make a difference! __________________________________________________________________________ ______ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
