The dogs flying the plane was the "talk" around the airport.....here's the
quote from our local paper: "in the days after the accident, several
people
called police and said the men (construction workers) were swapping tales
about how the actor was near falling-down drunk after the crash, and about
how they helped Swayze remove beer and wine from the aircraft and helped
him
concoct a story".  Five days after the crash, police recontacted the men
(construction workers) and one admitted he had told a lie "that the crash
had actually occurred at 10 AM instead of 11 AM and that Swayze at first
believed he had landed just over the hill from his New Mexico ranch".
