Coupers; We spent another 8 hours in Yellowstone today and it is easy to
see
why this park has so many visitors. I did get straightened out by a Ranger

about the bear population. Apparently, when I last visited the park, they
were still feeding the bears garbage. That has been stopped, and they are
forced to find their food naturally.
Therefore, they are no longer around the campgrounds and lodges where they

used to hang out to get fed. We did not see any bear again today, but the
park maintains both a grizzly and a black bear population. I think I am
geysered out. We have looked at all different kinds, and saw two eruptions
of
Old Faithful. Joel also spent over an hour in the news museum display
which
was set up in the park for today and tomorrow. I think that seeing Old
Faithful was his highlight of the day.
If the weather cooperates, tomorrow we will fly though the Grand Tetons
and
then by Devils Tower on our way to Rapid City, SD. I expect to spend a
couple
days in the Black Hills before heading for the Badlands and points east.
With
all the rain the East has been getting, it may take us a little longer to
get
to College Park. However, we still have several places to visit before
then.
