Had a great weekend flying, Weather hot, hazy. LA basin sucked in the haze. Trip to San Jose in a piper 180 was hour to hour and a half faster than in
the Alon. No fuel stop. picked up a bit of a head wind.
Saturday was a trip to Redding Ca. to look at a Bellanca. Turned out to
be
a dog. But it really sounded good. Low times and all. Looked like an old
farm
jeep.
The trip back to San Jose was good. Left turn out put us on course to
the
coast. Just south of Georgia's beloved Eureka. Got a chance to use the GPS
with moving map. Now the Alons Loran has to go. Stopped at Sonoma (wine
country) for a late lunch. Then a trip across The Bay with the Golden Gate
out from under the ocean layer. That was fun to see.
Well, Marcia and I are still looking for that right Four place. But
the
trip was fun.
