Spar caps were typically zinc chromated when the wing was converted from fabric covering to metal. My 415C spar caps were zinc chromated at the Forney factory in the 60's when the wings were metalized. Accordingly, I would bet all the Forney produced Aircoupes were zinc chromated when new.
