When I put the second 60-pound sand bag on the tail (right over the stab
attach bolts), as I lower the bag, the tail sinks gently to the ground,
which
is either grass or has been liberally padded for the purpose. Don't use
force
on the tie-down ring to pull things down. It's not necessary and it is
hard to
bring things back up smoothly. Lifting off the second bag gives a nice
easy
rise as the airplane helps you lift the bag, and the bag keeps it from
crashing
down (or up).
