----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- You wouldn't believe it, I saw an *8 place* Coupe at Oshkosh!!! Really, it had the same airfoil and everything! Furthermore it could take off and land in under 300' and cruise at 170 mph. Really amazing! No, really, it was a Sherpa-8 designed by fellow Oregonian Byron Root. When I told him I was flying an Ercoupe he just couldn't say enough good things about our little planes. He said the wing on the Sherpa-8 has the same foil as the Coupe and that it is a very good choice with basically no pitching moment and low drag. It was neat to hear! Hope you all had fun at Oshkosh. Saw quite a few Coupes there but didn't get a chance to talk to many Coupers. Syd, I saw yours, very nice and original :) Keep em flying (even if you have to make them 8-places!) Joa Redmond, OR
