I know my wiring is pretty junky looking. "FAAAC43-16A #262 May 2000 Univair(Ercoupe) 415C ATA 2430 This aircraft was the subject of an incident involving fire, which occurred during ground operations. During an investigation, the inspector determined that failure of an electrical wire led to development of a fire. The wire was routed under the forward fuel tank and a short circuit developed because the wire insulation deteriorated leaving the conductor exposed. Age was given as the cause for deterioration of the wire insulation. The extent of aircraft damage was not given. Part total time not reported."
