I have been thinking the same thing for mine. I was intending to find out
if Rivnuts are acceptable or do I have to fit nut plates

My main concern with Rivnuts is to get hold of countersunk type so there
is
not a protruding head on the fairing side of the fuselage which would
prevent the fairing from lying flat against the fuse.
